Today I hiked about 17 miles from Hot Springs to Log Cabin Road. I hiked without the guy I have been hiking with. He was able to get his crown put out at a town 20 miles away. He will hike tomorrow, maybe we meet again.

Sounds like a good day on the trail, J. A 17 miler and in no snow! I’d expect the next six weeks or so to be good hiking weather… maybe some spring rains, but warmer spring weather… before the summer heat and humidity starts moving in. You’ll be in Harper’s Ferry before you know it! You’ll be traveling a lot of historic Civil War country as you approach the Shenandoah Valley. Enjoy!
