I took a zero near Andover, Maine at the Human Nature Hostel. It is a great place. It was started by Yukon (trail name). He thru hiked the trail in 2012 to walk off war. He was a Marine in the Iraq and Afgahn Wars. He was on Naked and Afraid a bunch of times. The hostel was built from scratch by him. He is a cool and interesting guy. This place is perfect for hikers.
On Day 152, I stayed at the hostel but slack packed (just a day pack) about 10 miles of the AT today. It was a nice day. Saw a moose. Ate well today. I had some nice conversations with several local people in town today. It was a very good day.
I hit the trail tomorrow. I look forward to what lies ahead and figuring out how to keep the spirit, ideals and kindness of the AT in my mind and heart and having it be a part of my life and actions. The AT will never leave me.

Sounds like you had a great day today. Great moose sighting. The boys are big fans of naked and afraid so they liked the hostel picture. Looks like a very nice place.
