Hello Pennsylvania! I hiked about 18.5 miles today and am near Franklin, PA and Caledonia State Park. The trail today varied from short smooth sections to boulder scrambling and anything in between. It was so humid to start the day, even my trekking poles were sweating. A few small popup thunderstorms developed around me, but I did not get rained on today.
Mushrooms!! I did not taste.
The trail. I was expecting a lot of rattlesnakes, but did not hear or see one.
Today, I was trying to hit around 15 miles of hiking just to tone it down a notch. I felt like I could have done 30 miles today, but actually doing it is another thing.
My mind was surprisingly quiet today. I think I am just trying to grasp what I have already done out here and it is not sinking in. I was also only thinking of one special person today, who loves Strawberry Poptarts. I had my Poptart today. Haha.
