Day 110, 111 and 112

While camped out at 10 Mile River, the fireflies were out in abundance. Tons of them actually.

The 10 mile hike into Kent, Connecticut was fairly rough with a lot of steep ups and downs. The views were pretty nice. Today was also hike naked day, just as a fyi. Enough said. Haha.

As soon as I got to the trailhead to town a nice couple gave Professor and I a ride to town, which was great.

The town has a statue to honor thru hikers. He looks a little too skinny.

We went out to a Korean restaurant that just opened today and it was really good.

After that, there was live music outside all over town. Sat out in the grass with people and enjoyed it. Talked with a lot of local people while here in town and we were treated great.

I took two days off in town for rest. It’s a good town for rest. Everything is so close and in walking distance of three blocks give or take. Hit the trail again tomorrow. Bluejay caught up after time with family. Professor moved on yesterday, but we should catch up again in a few days.

I made it to another town to get a new SD card for my phone. My old one was shot. I will save it and see if Geek Squad can retrieve data from it later.

  2. Looks like you have had a good break, all cleaned up and a great dinner. I enjoy reading about the towns you stop at, it’s like my vacation (get to sit back and read), thanks for all your travels .
